This coffee pod works, unfortunately, in order to get a nice cup of joe, you have to use the same amount of coffee as if you had made a 6-cup pot of coffee. It is also a pain to get the coffee into and makes a mess. So now are you not only paying more for your morning coffee, but you have a mess to clean up too.New Improved Brown Ecopad, the Refillable Coffee Filter for the Senseo
The Eco-Pads are excellent - in fact, I ordered two more packages yesterday. Save yourself the cost of the high priced Senseo coffee pods and invest in these refillable, easy-to-use pods. You can use your favorite coffee and still get the foam effect on the top. I love them.
They basically look the same and are the same size as the original blue ones, so I am not sure what the problem might be. The old blue discontinued ones, worked great. The new and improved Ecopad is far from new and improved. I only have one of the original blue ones left and now use it most of the time while the other 6 new and improved rarely get used. These new ones, all they do is pour out water for the first 10-15 seconds and then maybe you will get something that resembles coffee pouring into your cup. I have tried finer grind, coarser grind, less coffee, more coffee but with no luck. Every now and then I will try one again and still no difference in how it works. I will admit you still get the foam but if you like a cup of brown water with foam go ahead and buy some.Very unimpressed with these new ecopads.

Some people say that its overly messy and hard to use. Well, the truth is that it can be if your not careful.
I have read reviews in the past about this product that are just not true. I would recommend filling the eco pod full.
Nevertheless, its a great product that produces the frothy foam that you expect from a coffee pod. All of my cups are larger than 8oz, so I always use the two cup to fill it.
Then, run the grounds out into the disposal while rinsing the pod. Time for another cup.
I ordered this product in the hopes that I could use it for coffee substitute beverages. It works great with the senseo machine that we have at the office.
